The Blacks played Narrabeen Blacks today in their last match for the year. This was another return match as these teams have played before earlier in the season. The boys played well today against a strong opposition. Some great work by Levi Mastrioanni who used his speed to get over the line for the teams first try. This was followed latter by a great effort from Oliver Owens who showed his strength and determination to score the other try for the team. Conversion by Levi Mastroianni. Joey Polidano played an important role today in the halves with great support from Zach Frankham in the forwards. From all accounts the team played well, with only a 5 minute lapse in the game that made the difference that allowed Narrabeen to score 2 quick tries. However it was fitting that Lachlan Bremner put in a man of the match effort for his 100th game. Nothing was going to stop him today and was every where in attack and defence.

Collaroy 12 – Narrabeen 28

This season has been a difficult year for the blacks with several close games just not going there way on the day of the game. The boys have put in a lot of effort this year as a team, while they did not make the finals, they are a strong team and should do well next year as a unit. I also want to acknowledge the team volunteers who put their hand up at the start of the season – Peter B, Peter C, Ryan, Kim and Gaya. Without you guys there would be no team and I want to thank you all for your dedication to the boys and the other team families this season.
