Each week has seen the team improve and Saturday against Narrabeen Stripes they played their best game of the year. Having drawn 1-1 with the Seaforth Bandits in a torrid affair the week before the boys were primed for a big home game at Griffith Park. The Blacks came out firing from the kickoff and never let up, putting together their best half of footy for the 3 years most of the boys have played together.
All the hard work at training started to pay off with the clean out at the breakdown especially impressive. With clean ball they were able to pass, support and lead 14-0 at half time.
We have worked on attacking in defense and driving the opposition backwards, it was great to see the boys committed in both attack and defense.
So many great performances it’s hard to single any one performance out. Those at the game won’t forget Jake’s runaway try or Bede’s pass to the wing to set up a try. Our Man of the Match went to Luke White who managed to score 5 tries but he can thank the other 11 boys for all of those.
Full time score was 22-0, the boys certainly earnt their snakes after the game on Saturday !!!
